It’s the end of the year, and this month’s installment of “The Independent Ethos Radio Hour” on Jolt Radio features some of my favorite indie music tracks I discovered in 2019. We had time to squeeze in 13 tracks, though the playlist could have easily featured 20 or more.
All the songs played here were found as I explored curious writings I received via email (Corridor, Cate le Bon and Jenny Hval) or following up on favorite artists (The National, Moon Duo and Angel Olsen). Then there was the unexpected discovery of Wand, as I saw them open for Stereolab, not to mention Big Bliss, who sold me on driving up to West Palm Beach as part of Bumblefest.
